The Wet Forest Toad (Incilius melanochlorus) is common toad of the wet forests of the Atlantic versant of Nicaragua and Costa Rica. It is closely related to the more northerly I. valliceps and I. nebulifer and looks and sounds similar to those species.
Its call is a long trill very similar to that of its sister species, I. valliceps and I. nebulifer. This recording was made north of the town of Aguas Zarcas, Costa Rica.
Incilius melanochlorus call
The non-trilled calls in this recording are those of the Sabinal Frog (Leptodactylus melanonotus)
